1. WHAT IS UDF PARTY
UDF Party is a new political party that was registered in the year 2011. We seek to break from the past regarding the conduct and character of politics in Kenya. Our vision is to be the agent of transforming Kenya into a united, democratic, prosperous and equitable nation.
2. WHO FOUNDED THE PARTY?
The party was founded by 80 Kenyans from all walks of life and from the whole country who met in Nairobi in the early part of the year 2011. After considering social, economic and political realities in Kenya, it dawned on them that the hope for a better Kenya was dimmed by the constant clash of personalities at all levels, the prevalence of political debate that is uninformed in issues and the lack of bold and practical solutions to problems facing the country. They decided to found a political party that will work tirelessly for the establishment of transformative leadership and government.
3. WHAT ARE THE PARTY’S IDEALS?
The party believes in, and operates by among others, integrity, courage, hard work, national unity, patriotism, justice, equality, and respect for human rights.
4. DOES UDF PARTY HAVE A PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE?
Not yet. UDF Party will soon begin the process of nominating a presidential candidate according to the Party’s Elections and Nomination Rules and Regulations.
5. WHO CAN BECOME AN ASPITANT ON A UDF PARTY TICKET DURING THE GENERAL ELECTION?
Any Kenyan who meets the requirements set out in the Constitution of Kenya and is a member of the Party is eligible to be an aspirant for the UDF Party. The nomination of aspirants will be done by Party members in accordance with the Nomination Rules and Regulations.
6. HOW DOES THE PARTY FUND ITS ACTIVITIES?
UDF Party relies on donations and membership subscription fees to fund its activities. There are various avenues to make donations to the Party. These include MPESA (Paybill Number: 530100 Account Number: UDF), AIRTEL MONEY and online donation as indicated on our website: www.udfparty.org
7. WHO ARE THE PARTY OFFICIALS?
The 80 members who founded the party together with the ones that joined the party later in the year elected the Party officials. They are ordinary Kenyans who want to see real change in the country and are drawn from different professions from all parts of Kenya, giving UDF Party a national outlook. The members of the National Executive Council (NEC) are:

8. HOW DO I JOIN THE PARTY?
Membership into the party is voluntary upon payment of one hundred Kenya Shillings (Kshs. 100) or any other amount determined from time to time by the NEC. Potential members are educated on the principles and ideals of the UDF Party and then invited to become a members. They are then required to fill a form and pay the requisite amount after which a party membership card and a receipt of payment are issued.
This can be done physically at the party offices both at the national or county level.

9. IS UDF AFFILIATED PNU OR PNU ALLIANCE PARTIES?
No.
10. WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF JOINING THE PARTY?
By joining the UDF Party you become a decision maker and a part of a movement that is determined on breaking from the past and making positive history in Kenya. The time for a new dawn for Kenya is now and we invite you to be part of it. When you join the Party, you are also able to seek nomination to contest for various political offices on a UDF Party ticket.
11. WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO PAY THE MEMBERSHIP FEE?
This entitles you to:
a) Have a sense of belonging to a political process.
b) Paricipation in the decision-making processes.
c) Benefits that may accrue from time to time that can only be given to members.
12. WHAT PLANS EXIST FOR TOWN HALL MEETINGS AT THE CONSTITUENCY LEVEL?
Currently, UDF Party is engaged in county meetings across the country. We will then begin holding constituency meetings upon exhaustion of meetings in all counties.
Moreover, other activities like Sector Leaders meetings are on going in all counties. Participants are drawn from all the constituencies in that county.
13. WHEN ARE WE OPENING OFFICES AT THE COUNTY LEVEL?
UDF Party currently has offices in 11 counties around the country. We have identified offices in all the other counties and are now handling the logistics of setting them up.
14. WHEN IS UDF PARTY BEING LAUNCHED?
UDF Party has done mini-launches in regions such as Coast, Rift Valley, Central and Western. Eventually, we will have a colorful and vibrant national launch.
