Seemingly just as it started, the Euro 2020 tournament being held throughout Europe is coming to an end this week, as the semi-finals go off Tuesday and Wednesday, with the winner of each game facing off Sunday in London. In the first game on the docket, one of the tournament’s favorites, Italy, will face off against a Spain team that entered the Euro 2020 at 9-1 odds to win it all.
While both teams possess a storied football history, only one can come away victorious in this one.
Let’s take a closer look.

After mostly dominating Belgium in their quarterfinal match, much like they have opponents throughout the tournament as they’ve now allowed just two total goals, Italy comes into this one the odds on favorite at +140 to win in regulation. With a 32-match unbeaten streak on the line, this Italian team can seemingly do it all, with the best backline in Europe only to be complemented by a set of strikers averaging 2.2 goals per game in this tournament.
For Spain, a squeak-through in a relatively easy group was met with a 5-3 win over Croatia in their first knockout game, followed by a PK shootout win over Switzerland in the quarters. What they lack, which has been increasingly glaring over the last two weeks, is any threatening attack up top. Against an Italian team that has been nearly impossible to penetrate, I don’t see that playing well for the Spaniards.
In a match that will break a record for the most times two European nations have played in major tournament history, I like for the Italians to squeak through into Euro 2020 final Sunday at Wembley.
Pick: To Qualify for the Next Round: Italy -140
