Top NBA Betting Picks for Tuesday, April 27

We’ve got a six-game slate of action on tap for tonight. While injuries may derail the evening’s nightcap, as the Mavericks have quite a lengthy injury report, we’ll still get a pair of key Eastern Conference battles between the Bucks and Hornets and the Nets and Raptors.

Here are the top NBA betting plays for Tuesday, April 27, provided by BettingPros experts Raju Byfield and Isaiah Sirois (Main game odds courtesy BettingPros Consensus; lock and prop odds sites may vary):

Betting Lock of the Day

Sirois: Thunder +11.5 (-110 at BetMGM)
The Thunder are in pretty rough shape, but they might be able to cover this spread. The Celtics won’t have Jayson Tatum, Kemba Walker, or Robert Williams tonight, and that will give Oklahoma City a chance to keep this within double-digits. The Thunder may have pathetically bad efficiency ratings, but the Celtics haven’t been much better recently: Oklahoma City ranks last in offensive efficiency over the last three games, but Boston ranks fourth-last through that same span. Also, the Thunder have been decent on the road this year — they have gone 18-13 ATS in away games. My NBA betting model considers this one an absolute lock as long as Lu Dort suits up tonight.

Top Game Prop of the Day

Sirois: Celtics Under 113.5 (-112 at FD Sportsbook)
I’ll double down with another bet against the Celtics. They won’t have their two best offensive players (Jayson Tatum and Kemba Walker), according to FiveThirtyEight’s RAPTOR ratings, yet this total sets above their points per game average (111.9). Sure, that’s probably because the Thunder struggle defensively, as they allow the seventh-most points per game (114.8). But the Celtics will have to play again tomorrow, so I don’t expect them to go all-out tonight. Boston has stayed under this total in their last four games, too, and I expect that trend to continue.

Top Player Prop of the Day

Sirois: Khris Middleton Over 18.5 (+100 at FD Sportsbook)
It’s time for another plus-money prop lock! The Charlotte Hornets surrender the most made threes per game, and Middleton leads the Bucks in both made (2.2) and attempted (5.1) threes per game. While not all of Middleton’s points will come from deep, the Hornets aren’t a tough matchup for him. They surrender a league-average share of points per game to small forwards (21.4), where he spends 71% of his minutes. They also give up the most points per game to power forwards (23.1), where he spends another 26%. Middleton has averaged 20.1 points per game on the year and 19.2 since the All-Star Break, and he has nosed over this figure in three of his last four outings.
